These earrings are made with actual guitar picks licensed by Apple Corps Ltd. The reverse side of the picks feature a variety of licensed Apple images that include album covers. Paul McCartney’s name for the Beatles’ record label, Apple Corps, was originally inspired by a Rene Magritte painting, Le Jeu de Mourre, featuring a green apple. Apple Corps had prolonged trademark disputes with Apple Computer (Apple, Inc.) that were finally resolved in 2007, with Apple Corps transferring ownership of the ‘Apple’ name and all associated trademarks to Apple Inc., and Apple Inc. exclusively licensing them back to the Beatles’ company.
